Need help! 4 days left, and incubator dropped temp!!

Since I first posted, the air sac has grown drastically and is lopsided. It extends much further to the right than the left.
That could the final 'drawdown'(I think that's the term) of air cell, happens when close to hatch. I've never seen it in person as I don't candle after day 18.
This is the hardest part, waiting for those pips to show.

Do you only have one egg in there?(too lazy to read all the way back thru )

Ok... I will look it up and see if there are any pictures out there!
Yes, I only have one egg in there. (I don't blame you for not wanting to go searching LOL) I started out with 6 but the other 5 never started to develop! I guess its a good thing because the rest of the room is being taken up by sponges. I was planning on going out and picking up a friend for it if it hatches though...

As I side note, I officially think there is something wrong with the bator! Woke up this morning to find the temperature at almost 103 and the humidity down to 30%. :rant

I looked back and I found a photo of the egg on Day 4, which was on March 24th. So I set the eggs on the evening of March 20th. That means today is Day 20 and tomorrow is Day 21. No pips yet.
I am concerned at this point because I have to keep opening the incubator twice a day to re-wet the sponges. If I don't do this, the humidity drops too low, even with both water chambers completely full. After this hatch I am going to do some serious experimenting with it because for the amount of money I payed I shouldn't have to deal with sponges and opening it during lockdown! This evening, I did a quick candle. I didn't take the egg out or anything, I just lifted the lid slightly when I was grabbing sponges and put the candler in front of the air sac. Since I first posted, the air sac has grown drastically and is lopsided. It extends much further to the right than the left. The rest of the area above the sac is dark, but it looks like the area between the air sac and the chick is lighter in color. I am not sure what this is, the yolk maybe? It also appears the chick may have shrunk? I may be mistaken but I think I remember the dark blob extending further down, basically to the point of the Day 18 air sac. I didn't have time to keep looking, but it brought me here! I really don't want this little guy to quit on me... any thoughts???????? How do you tell when an egg has quit??

I agree what you are seeing is probably drawdown. These pics are from one day to the next. Usually the day you see drawdown, they internally pip within 24 hours. Usually.

I hope so! Mine was a little more lopsided but every egg is different. I know I need to stop stressing becajse whatever happens happens! I shouldnt have let myself get so attached though :fl

Not quite drawn down yet. But getting there, I think.

And just FYI, most folks try to lay the lowest side of the dip upward, so yours look upside down. It just helps the chick get into position, as the scrunch up toward the air cell end on their backs. But shouldn’t be a problem overall, since broody momma hens don’t do it. Lol
