Tomorrow is our anniversary and I have that all covered, flowers - check, card - check, dinner - check. Every Friday we always take an "end of week" relaxation/quiet time bath with candles, music and snacks so we decided this Friday to tie the theme into our anniversary.

I'm thinking seafood since we both love it. But not shrimp unless we have to ( we live close to the sound so we eat shrimp alot) I was thinking of smoked salmon, veggies (celery, carrots, cherry tomatoes) but then I come up blank.

Scallops maybe? Oysters doesn't seem to fit (plus may not be able to get any from the gulf)

Any other ideas?

Steve

Cherry tomatoes soaked in Vodka then rolled in sea salt are sooooooo good.

A fruit tray with a cream cheese fruit dip is a good idea too.

You could make these....

I don't know what kind of southern house we have going but I don't think we have any bacon

Steve

What?! No Bacon!?

Isn't that considered deprivation in a Southern household? LOL

I vote for bacon wrapped scallops... and I second the fruit...

If you do apples (tossed with a teensy bit of lemon so they don't go brown) then you may try this dip... SO good...

1 8oz block cream cheese, softened shopping list
1/2 c sugar shopping list
3/4 c brown sugar shopping list
1 t vanilla shopping list
1/2 bag Heathbar Bits (or Skor) shopping list

or there's always strawberries... mmmm with chocolate (pre-dipped or dip and eat) or the old whipped cream (I love berries and cream, no need to add sugar... YUM)

You don't want anything too heavy... things that can be tucked away and snacked on later are good... hmmm... what about cold seafood ideas... eat anytime? Crab dip... that sort of thing?
