NEED HELP, ANY IDEAS? IS THIS A MALE OR FEMALE? PICS ATTACHED

Things can be super easy to miss, and some don't live on the birds but only come out to feed on them. I'm not talking about dirt... I'm talking about how you can see all the ribs of the feathers and the little striations they are showing.. that are making them look like NOT solid feathers.

I mean no arrogance here... but I have enough experience to know that what I'm seeing is NOT normal fathering... Check after dark using a flash light to get a much clearer picture.

Only things I've seen cause feathers to look like that are overcrowding, external parasites including excessive preening, or malnutrition... According to what I'm seeing... it parasites.. Sincerely. This is one area, I don't joke about, but KNOW what I'm seeing after many years and hundreds of birds. Experience is the mother of all teachers. ;)
