i have had that happen with shipped chicks. i have kept them close to me in the house. kept dunking beak in water...i put some of the mash in the water so there would be some nutrition. the poly vi sol GREAT idea. i put it on the dropper then touch the beak to it... a little goes a long way. to be honest i only ever saved ONE that started like what you mention. ONE out of many. you do what you can thats all you can do. the only one i ever saved i took to vet at day 4. she seemed to think she was not getting enough nutrition..hence the poly vi sol and i took her out of the box with others so she did not have to compete. mixed the poly with some mash and some water...she eventually made it. dont get too hung up on it. if you watch how they are handled during the hatch and shipping process you will better understand why there are losses. .....
