need help ASAP!

could the chick still survive?

also what could have caused this to happen? All the other eggs are fine.

Maybe it was an early hatcher that pipped early and then got "crushed" by mom. I'd leave them be and actually try not to pick up mom because you might let out too much humidity each time. Best of luck!

Ok im just gonna leave it be just wait it out. I thought that if the Menbrane dried up that it killed the chick smothered it? Can it still break out of this?

If the membrane gets to dried out it will stick to the chick and make it hard for it to get out. But, I think with it under the mom the humidity will keep it "wet" enough. Also, where it has a hole in the membrane the chick can get oxygen. I think the momma will help peel the membrane off of it also. Good Luck, let us know how it goes.

I know I should stop but i can't help myself wanna help this lil guy out so bad. I see that there is a rip on the side straigth down on the membrane and a hole in the top of it. This wasn't there earlier is this a good sign? I didnt see any movement at all.

If you help it out now and it isn't ready then the chick will die.

Actually your not suppose to help them hatch anyways.

Let mother nature take its course.

Our broody hen a few years ago got off the nest and cracked an egg with her feet. Part of nature.

The lil chick wrapped in menbrane didnt make it. I got the egg or what was left out today and slowly removed the menbrane and rest of the shell. The chick was dead

This had happened to us last year. I don't know why, but the egg gets "crushed" by the mama when she gets on and off the nest. It's not every hatch, but sometimes. I'm sorry this happened!

Repeatedly lifting the hen off the eggs to check the eggs is the same as lifting the lid off the incubator the last three days. You let out the humidity the eggs need to hatch.
