I noticed this morning that one roo had his eye closed, when further inspecting the flock I noticed more of them having foaming or bubbling liquid coming out of their eyes. I was recommended Terramycin, however my feed store only had Duramycin-10. I went ahead and purchased this and have put it in their water. I notice that the ones more affected are wanting to stay in the coop. However, I am going ahead and cleaning the coop to try and disinfect everything and hope these guys get better. Any recommendations would be great. I am also making up a batch of oatmeal with lots of fresh garlic to help boost their immune systems. I really prefer doing things organic, but I guess I am using the antibiotics and hope these guys are all treatable and get better. A few of them are coughing or sneezing too, so I am thinking it might be a respiratory infection.

Bubbly or foamy eyes are never a good thing. You have some type of bacterial infection going through your flock it seems. The most important thing to do right now is to isolate the ones that have the issue and then try and figure out what type of infection or disease your flock has.

It sounds to me like they have CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease) or better known as MG. It is transmitted by carriers through hatching eggs and nasal discharge.

Here is a few links for you so you can read and decide for yourself.

Lots of luck to you and your flock.
