Our 35 chicks were hatched on the 25th, delivered to us on the 26th. Within 30 minutes of us getting them home, 2 were dead. Since then they continue to die. We now have 9 left and we haven't had them one week yet. They get really sluggish, lay down and can't seem to get back up. Most seem to fall over on their sides and then can't move. They seem to be breathing really hard, like they are really hot. The temp is about 95. They have clean water and feed. I started them out on newspapers and then about 4 days home I put woodchips in their house. They are getting some electrolytes in their water. I just read about ACV, so I put that into their water now.
Any suggestions, please? I don't know tons about chickens, we are slowly learning, but we have raised chicks for broilers many times and last fall 27 laying chicks. I've never had this before and I'm quite confused.
Thanks
