Need help covering the holes coop remodel

Bought this playhouse for chickens but sold them and back to quail. I didn’t have to worry about the chickens but I do about the quail. I thought about hardware cloth but I’m afraid trying to staple it to the plastic it might crack it. I’ve also thought about some 2x4 cut to size to fit the side openings. I want it to look nice and be part of my yard not just an extra pen. Looking for ideas. The xpen will be covered with plastic hardware cloth until the quail age up in size and a net over the top from flying up and out.

I’ve seen ppl use washers and screws but idk how well that would even work or if it would break or not

I have the same house in white and red and I use it in my chicken yard just as a hawk-deterrant hideout / shade / extra curricular activity type thing so Im not trying to convert mine or seal up holes but Im interested in hearing what others have to say and what you end up doing with it Its pretty. I wish you the best

I have a playhouse and used hw cloth. I used thread screws for plastic to fix it to the playhouse. It worked well. Still holding up for my ducks for 5 yrs now. I can look to see what brand they are as I still have some leftover.
