I have 6 Cayuga ducks in the incubator. One hatched this morning with help from me. I see no signs with the other eggs that a hatch will happen anytime soon. Should I make a small hole in the other shells

Have they internally pipped? @WVduckchick

I don’t think they have internally pipped yet. Nothing external for sure.
I got another incubator set up to take yacky out and have more time to examine the other without giving him a chill.
Good idea to candle. I will move little one over and candle the rest. If there is no movement I should take it as they have died!?!?
Thanks everyone for your help!!!!

Not necessarily. Smell them when you candle them. if you can take a picture while candling post them here.

Do not make a safety hole if they haven't internally pipped yet.
By this time, the air cells should at least be drawn down, if they are going to hatch. If you don't see any draw down to the air cell, check for movement.

Well I candles them. Took 1 out and made small holes in the shells of the others. I did see movement but it was very slow. Hope I am not doing more harm than good, but if I sat and did nothing they could parish too. Oh man this is just aweful
