You need to now watch them closely. I think maybe your thermometer is off. So, if they start to pile up on each other, raise the heat 3 degrees and see if they then start to move around. If they start laying out on their sides, panting, then they are over heating, then lower the temp. You should be able to come to a good conclusional temp today. Once you find that temp, then lower the heat by that temp 5 degrees each week till they are 6 weeks old.

Bobs are suseptable to cannibalism in the brooder. If they start picking on each other, this is another signal that the temp is a few degrees too warm. You would then want to lower it 2 degrees and work from there.

Good luck with these babies. :)

They seem content. They aren't very bunched, they are eating and drinking.

Fingers crossed they stop dying!

No. I just came home to 5 dead birds.

They now are dying quietly. They just sit down, look like they are sleeping and die.

My temp is 94.

I am so frustrated

2 were dead in the center under the heat lamp, 3 near a wall. One more is currently dying next to a wall.

I am so sorry you are having so much trouble with this. All I can think of is that maybe you have some bad eggs. Something is just a miss here. You shouldn't be losing them so quick like. If it isn't a draft, chilling or over heating, then it may be something with the entire batch of eggs.

And yeah, why is the water so cloudy? What is in there?
