Need help deciding on a size for a coop.

They go outside about 5:30/6am and come back in about 8/8:30pm they just sleep in their "bedrooms" ...I tell them " girls...get your fluffy butts in your bedrooms it's time to go to sleep" they go by their roommates and stand in front of their totes and wait for me to pick them up for goodnight hugs.
They might go on strike when you kick them out!!

Do you have roosts for them in the totes?

Keep in mind the 4 sq ft/10 sq ft recommendation you keep seeing is a minimum - if you have room for it, bigger is always better. You also need to account for flock growth (unless you're restricted by local ordinance, same with the actual measurements of the coop and run) as making a coop and run at bare minimum size does not allow you to easily add more birds in the future.
