Need help for Alfred!

It fluctuates a lot. Yesterday was 80s and today's 60s night is cooler. Their heat can move out with them. Or would the basement work? I'll move them tomorrow since I need to work in an hour
as long as you can provide some heat and they can use it or not is all that matters in where you put them, I wouldn't want to put them in a damp basement but if it's dry and has good ventilation and light then it would be fine. That's another thing to consider is they have adequate light and are not kept in the dark.

Well it started snowing here so I guess they have to stay inside until the weather gets off its crack. I mean it's may and was 83 two days ago

Crazy weather, hopefully it won't last long.

Also in the last few days they have gone from eating a little to scarfing down their feed, and growing like weeds! I only have half a bowls worth left for them which i Will give it to them in the morning. Will they be alright until around 4pm? Or what can I gave them? I haven't tried treats yet, but we have some fresh beans here and grit.

One rule with duck ownership is NEVER run out of feed. lol do you have oatmeal? plain not anything in the quick department? if you do then mix it into their feed and some peas not beans. and sprinkle the grit on the bottom of the brooder or in a separate dish. you don't want them filling up on grit and getting their crops impacted. so don't put a big bowl full of grit down for them, in case they run out of feed

I ran to norbys this morning and got them more feed. It didn't look like they would run out until this weekend when I was planning in a norbys trip, but the little weeds... And I think the cat steals their food though, she can't steal the hedgehogs food anymore so she starts theirs out of it the bucket it's in. She can open pretty much anything but a tote

That's hilarious never heard of a cat eating feed before but my dogs sure do like it, I can always tell when they have snuck some it shows up in their poop. your a good duck mommie

Alfred's got little feathers! And I'm pretty sure Alfred is a girl... I'm hearing little qua-eeps coming from the pen at bedtime yesterday and today when Alfred's mouth was moving. I'm excited lol. Emmys getting whiter patches on her down... What's up with that? She was all yellow. Osito is co- dependent on Alfred. If I try to place with Alfred outside of Ositos site he cries for her. It's ridiculous! I gave them a tiny bit of lettuce today, Alfred ate most of it, Osito joined in after her and Emmy thought about it and tried to eat the piece I held out to her, but she was too nervous so Alfred happily helped her out lol
