Need help for my duckling... Slipped tendon

The wheelchair worked nicely but we euthanized both Steve and Jinx on Wednesday. Both had open sores on the hocks and were unable to keep themselves clean. I decided it wasn't fair for either of them anymore.

Neither could swim, poor Steve would try to zoomie but didn't get anywhere. Jinx may have been able to be a house duck only but then only a solo duck and she couldn't be alone anywhere. HATED it! She could only hop on one leg a few times then have to lie down.
I had never had a problem with niacin deficiency before now. I don't know if it was bad time of year (Fall), old feed, poor nutrition in the moms, or poor genetics. We might hatch ducklings again next year.

So sad for you but you sure did try hard to help them..
