Need help: gross chicken feet

I bought a couple silkies this spring. They had balls at the end of there toes. Being new to this I didn't do anything. Now there in the coop I noticed one mud ball was really big. I brought her in and soaked her feet. Got all the balls off but noticed her nails are gross and she has gross white stuff on her feet. What do I do?

She needs her nails clipped.

I would soak her feet some more and take a nail brush and scrub her feet and legs gently.

You may have to treat her for leg mites.

The white stuff does go up her foot to her feather line. How can you tell if she has mites? Should I add a dust bath for the girls?

Does the white stuff soften up and scrape off ?
