as the title says, she cant stand, she is about 6 weeks old and just cant stand, she is making noise, seems to be a little bit active although she isnt walking and cant move around. This happened this morning and I haven't gotten to take a look at her feet yet, my sister is really upset over this and I don't want to upset her even more. I will go and feel her feet and see if anything seems wrong. Only thing that happened recently is we took her to a grassy area she had never been to so far. She is swimming on her side also, and she is on her side when she is lying on the ground. I could take a video, although I don't want to upset my sister too much by poking around at her duck, although she does understand I am only trying to help. This has happened VERY suddenly and she seemed really healthy the day before. I am going to start looking around this forum and the internet to see if I find an answer, but I thought id post here before, so I can get advice from here also. So far im thinking its a niacin deficiency so im going to give her some niacin rich foods but I also wanted to see if it might be anything else.

I felt her feet, they seem fine and she keeps leaning towards her left side specifically, I would think niacin but I feel like its really extreme and even in the water she keeps falling towards the left

I don't really know what you should do besides make sure no other ducks or animals pick on her, I hope she gets better!
She is a beautiful duck!

Did you check to make sure there is no swelling or really hot spots on her legs and feet?
How well can she or you move her legs?
When she was able to stand did her legs or do her legs look strait?

Was she with other ducks when she was in the grassy spot you mentioned?

Hopefully @Miss Lydia can help or whoever else that knows what to do.

Do you have a poultry vet nearby? It sounds like this little duckie is special to her - if possible, would seek professional care if you can.
there are no poultry vets nearby unfortunately, I am going to double check but its something I have heard a few people complain about because theres no poulty/bird vets near

Right now we are setting up an area for her inside by herself, I checked and I dont believe there is any swelling although I probably should check again, no hot spots but again, I will check again to be sure. When she walked normal it seemed completely fine and her legs looked strait. Yes, she was with other ducks when she was in the grassy area and no other ducks are showing any symptoms of this. Also, I dont know if this is important at all, but the other ducks are not cayuga ducks, so they arent related, so if its an allergy issue maybe its just her, at the same time I dont know much about duck allergies

Anyone think being nearby to loud crying call ducklings is gonna stress her out? I don't want her to be stressed being by those loud ducklings
