My son went and did his chores this morning and reported this to me. Not sure what to make of it. No discharge but not normal. We isolated her for now. Any ideas on what it could be?
Thank you.
Could you get a more clear picture in focus? Can you open the eye with your fingers, and note if there are bubbles, foam, or gunk in the eye? The eyelid appears swollen, and this could be from a peck, a sting, and more commonly, an early sign of a respiratory sinus infection. MG or mycoplasma gallisepticum is a common one. Is he lethargic or sleepy? Is he drinking and eating? Have you added any new birds to the flock recently? Let us know what you find.
