need help identifying PLEASE

If at all possible can I get some help figuring out what this is? I had to cull him today. He was one of my favorite roosters. He had them all over and I didn't catch them soon enough to help him. Just wondering what it is and if I need to be worried about the rest of the flock and what I need to do to prevent this from happening again. Thanks for your help

I did not cut it open. I did find one on the ground that fell off and the underside of it was pusy and green. Haven't seen any on the rest of the flock yet.......
 
I buried him but I do have the one that fell off. I can cut it open and send you a picture of it in just a little while if that's okay. Let me finish feeding and watering the rest of them and I will get back with you if that's okay. ?
 
Okay, sorry I took so long but I have at on of chickens to feed and water lol. I cut the one open and I'm not tell sure what it is....... it is really hard inside of it. He had a total of 3 on him plus the one that fell off. I checked the rest of the flock he was in and the Butcher pin beside the coop he was in and I did not find any on the other birds. He was part of my bantam flock. I only have about 20 of them. The rest are all big birds. Anyway I'll stop rambling now lol, here is a picture of the inside. Thanks for all y'all s help. Looking forward to learning a lot and sharing more with everyone.
