Let me know if the pic doesn't show up. I'm on my phone.
Background: eggs are in the classroom, in a hovaBator 1583. I can't get in after 3 or on the weekends. Lockdown was last Friday 3 pm after I took out the egg turner. Monday at 7am I came back and the temp was down to 94
Also not sure of humidity because I don't have a hygrometer (will buy one for next hatch). Followed the manual regarding filling troughs but screwed up and took out the red vent on day 21 thinking they might hatch and need oxygen. Have never seen moisture on the window.
Day 23. Candling showed no internal pip and no movement. No tapping, chirping etc either. I tapped on the shells before and during candling. Air cells had grown since day 18 but chicks aren't filling up entire available space. Some do but not all.
Moved to float test as per the learning centre's guide to assisted hatching. 2 eggs did a quite high float confirming what I saw when candling. 9 eggs looked like the picture above and floated lower but not completely under the water - the air cell only was above. I thought they'd need to float submerged to pass but am hoping I'm wrong. Thoughts? I can go as late as Friday (day 25).
