Our Chicken clutch consisted of what we thought was six hens,,, and as they grew,, it became clear that our "Penny" may be a "Lenny" . Once he started to crow, we had to get rid of him because of local ordinances,,
so a few days ago,, we had to trade our Cockerel for a Pullet ,, Unfortunately
..
Anyway , we traded him for a Pullet that is about one month younger than they are , and they are not being so nice to her ... is there anything we can do to help her fit in ? How long do they usually do that for to the "newbie" ?
THe others arent letting her near to eat , or drink, or roost with them ,,, and poor thing , She wont join the others in the house at night when we close their door for the night ,, so we've been leaving it open, which is asking for trouble. (predators, etc.)
HELP !! We feel so bad for her ,, and want her to fit in .
