Need help picking out a silkie rooster

I have some nice looking hens and want to purchase a rooster.I have been told that they need to have black wattles,is this true? Please help me to get the right rooster for my girl.Pictures would be a big help. What to look for etc.

You would get faster results posting your question on one of the silkie threads, or simply looking at the photos there. You want birds with mulberry coloured (or darker) comb and wattles. You also want turquoise earlobes, a variety that is compatible with your girls since you plan to breed. You want to emphasize any traits they are lacking, and you don't want to bring in undesirable traits.

Thanks,having a hard time finding a rooster in my area,most have huge wattles and more on the red side
