I am on day 20 of my hatch. Several eggs have pipped, I just noticed one that has pipped near the bottom of the egg. They are in an egg carton for hatching. Do I quickly reach in and turn it around, or leave it and hope for the best?

I've added a couple of pics through the top of the 'bator-

So far we have 12 out of 14 eggs hatched..even the one that pipped near the bottom..

I would probably give it a little while & see how it does. If it doesn't progress in 12 hours or so, I might reach in & lay it on it's side. If you open the bator now, you could make it even harder for the chick to hatch by decreasing humidity.

Thats why I quit using the egg cartons. I had one pip on the side and I believe it smothered.

I use cartons & have had a couple pip low in side of the shell. They made it out on their own.
Just don't compromise air flow or humidity during the hatch. Keep the 'bator closed.

Thanks so much..you just don't know how tempted I was to open it up...I'll sit on my hands..with my fingers crossed, of course..
