Need Help Please- Dog Poisoned- Emergency - Update - She Died

You only use peroxide if the poisining[sp] just happened. I would do what the vet said to do. I know its hard and you probably feel like you need to be doing something but listen to your vet. By tomorrow your dog should show signs of feeling better. Keep us informed and

I hope your dog is feeling better.

I wouldn't give her any Pepto-Bismo. One of it's ingredients shows up on x-rays. So if she has eaten something, like a toy, that is causing an obstruction it will be harder to see it if an x-ray it taken.

Obstruction is always the first thing that comes to my mind when a dog can't keep anything down. If it is an obstruction, the vomit will usually have an odour that smells similar to stool. And the dog will become weaker and weaker very quickly. If your dog is still having bowel movements, then you can at least rule a blockage out.

Hope your pup is feeling better soon.

Well, she took a turn for the worse, so, we took her to the Animal Medical Clinic, which is where she is now. Hopefully they will know what to do to get her back to health.

She went from the emergency care clinic to the family vet where she is now. She is getting fluids and anti-biotics, but, they still don't know exactly what the cause of this is.

Is there a chance she could have ate a wild rabbit? I was at the vet clinic on a tour one day and I just happened to remember there was a dog there that was very sick. They couldn't figure out what it was until they did surgery and found the wild rabbit in it's stomach. It had unexplained vomiting for days. I hope they figure it out and she gets well.

mushrooms....

my dog ate wild mushrooms (from what my vet could tell) once and it nearly killed him

He was in the hospital for a week ..throwing up bile and everything else. It caused his kidneys to swell... was awful.

I hope your pup comes out okay...
