I have a 15 month old black star hen who started limping two weeks ago. Since she started limping, it hasn't gotten any worse or better. About three days in I put her in a large kennel at night or when I was away. Three days into to that process she quit laying. It's now been about ten days with no eggs. Now, two days ago she started to loose her feathers . She isn't bald but looks like she us molting. She is eating when I put food in front of her but not much. I tried aspirin and I tried electrolytes but neither have helped. She can move the leg and will put weight on it but barely. She mainly just lays there. she has lost a bit of weight but not a lot. I cannot feel a break and doesn't feel painful. She doesn't like when I press on her belly but I am unsure if it hurts or she just doesnt like it. The only thing I can find is some red almost bruised area on her bald belly spot. The rest of the flock is fine and range from 8 weeks to 15 months.

She could be injured or she could have something going on internally. Some hens get tumors and cancer and the first sign that you notice is a sluggishness and lameness.
However, she might have stopped laying because she is now in a kennel where it is darker. She probably isn't getting as much sunlight as before and her body is telling her that winter is coming and to stop.
She might be going into an early molt, which does happen when hens are stressed, ill, or not eating. In fact, some CAFOs will starve their hens to initiate the molt.
So, no answers, but lots for you to observe and try to figure out.
I'd keep a very careful watch to see if she is truly eating or drinking anything. If she is, and the other hens don't bother her, I'd put her back with the flock as movement and sunshine are always good for chickens. If she wants to sit still, make a nice nest for her outside in the shade in the enclosed run. Good luck!

Thanks. She is on a wire cage on the coop so not fully inclosed. I tried leaving her out with the flock and they picked on her which is doubley sad because she was head hen. One hen actually made her comb bleed. She does get out when I am home. She is eating for certain ad she puts a pellet in het mouth and it disappears. She also scarves down some broccoli and mash. I was freaked after reading about mareks, but she can move the leg so its not as though she is paralyzed. I am wondering if maybe I should supplement her or brace the leg or????? I appreciate all the help from everyone.

Is she eating at all? If she's not, you can try force feeding egg yolk with a syringe. I also attribute healing another chicken to feeding it some organic unrefined coconut oil. Totally ancedotal but it seemed to work after she had some. Not a lot, just about 1/2 tsp a day seemed to improve her condition. Definitely keep her away from the others. They will pick on a chicken that's down!
