You need to check the legs for scabbing or swelling.... may have dislocated the joint...
Don't allow the chick to scoot around as it will cause possible open sores/skin and then you have to
deal with infection...
I've never used rubberbands... I use bandaids for splay leg...
Perhaps post some pictures for people to look at....so they can help you more..

Thats very odd. And youve said youve had successful hatches with this setup before right, so that leaves the eggs. Are the from different sources?

yes all same incubator etc , different eggs and sellers all fertile on day 7 all moving around day 18 . some hatch but most dont ?? like i said 1out of 6 this time , before that 5 out of 18 , before that 2 out of 12 different breeds one of each in this one .

update on my chick that wouldnt stand , its been 3 hours + since i put the rubber bands ( used bands , found thread on here , band aids stick and hurt chick when removeal ) on blues legs and he / she is trying its best to master the art of standing . he she is getting on its feet but wobbles im very happy with blues progress and im sure this time tomorrow will be standing without the wobble , well

, has had a little peck at food and a few drops of water

When using a bandaid.....get a Q tip and mineral oil to remove =)

thanks , ya she / he is not ready to take the bands off but standing better and getting stronger on her / his legs . removal is easy ive just taped the middle of the bands . still falls when he / she trys to run instead of walk
