Need Help Please

I'm giggling over the wire in the vent hole...so hard not to assist! Are they here yet????

Not here yet still chirping away about every 2-3 minutes. Ever now and then his beak will stick through the hole. Lol

Two chicken eggs I stuck a small wire in the vent hole and gently rolled it over. Since I did that it has made a bigger crack in the egg

I was going to suggest something like that...last time I had to use the end of a pencil, the eraser, to turn an egg over. My eggs were in lockdown, all except one, it was 10 days behind the others, but I thought if I suggested that you would think i was a bit off my rocker. haha.

...oh and all the pipping is just coming from the chickens , no turkey action yet?

Sounds like we're both off our rocker then!! Lol. Yeah just the chicks so far but the turkeys are doing a lot of rockin though..

So far only one chick has hatched and two more are pipping. He has been rolling the other eggs all over the place. Will it hurt the others or do I need to go ahead and put him in the brooder?

Hmm...I don't really know the answer to that, I was wondering the same thing for when mine come. Hopefully a veteran can help us out with this question. If not you may need to search other threads on this topic.

Ok thanks, I went ahead and removed them and put them in the brooder. Three have hatched so far all are doing fine. The humidity just dropped to around 60% when I removed them so it's back up now and holding steady around 68%

So did you wait til the other ones to hatch or when there was still pips? The ones that got rolled around by the first chick, they all came out okay?

I took the first one out and then waited for the next two too hatch before I took anymore out. But the ones that got rolled around are fine. I had one egg that wasn't rocking any so I candled it again and it was done so I through it out. It hadn't even started to form.
