Yeah why not!! Lol! Still just the same this morning. One of the eggs has a bigger pip though, so there still trying and still a lot of rocking and chirps ever now and then.. Wbu, yours doing ok?
Well I can't see all the eggs through the Bator but the few I can see were rocking. So...YAY!!! No pips though. right now I'm making a run up to my cabin to "play" with my big turkeys. So we'll see how many eggs my hens laid this week...hopefully I'll get lucky and one of them will finally be broody. (Wishful thinking ) But I'll be back tomorrow evening to check on the eggs. Update me on any progress yours are making. Poults tend to have a bit more problems/difficulties with the hatching process (from what I've read anyway ..plus my previous experience )
One down four to go had one hatch about an hour ago. Have you ever had to help any out because I thought I was going to have to help this one. He was lifeless and all of a sudden he gave one last kick and broke it open. He really weak and tired right now. How long does it usually take before they can walk, right now he just kinda lunges himself forward, but is starting to be able to hold his head up..
Omg...ur like the hatch master!!! Lol. Yeah pouts are very weak when they first come out..make sure you dip their peaks in the waterer so they know where it is. He should be fine by tomorrow. Takes a lot of energy to get out of those super hard egg shells.
