Need Help, Please!

Was just putting my chicks in for the night. Found my 12 week old seabright hiding (outside the coop). Seems to be in shock and is dragging her wing. Seems to have no control over it. I don't see any blood or external injuries. What's the best way to care for her? Thank you.

I'm sure someone else will have some better info, but for now, bring her inside to a quiet place and warm her up a bit. Offer her some warm mash maybe.

How is she this morning? Is her wing ok?

She is very quiet (standing with eyes closed) but occasionally alert. I have her wing bandaged to her body and have her in a cage and kept warm. Should I bring one of her friends in for comfort? I am afraid the other chicken will move around too much and possibly bump into her, harming her. I am concerned that she must be lonely. We have been holding her and trying to feed her but I don't want to disturb her too much because her body is trying to heal that wing. Any thoughts?

I would encourage bringing her a friend. Someone who is used to you coming around and pretty calm (won't fly at first sight of you). Chickens do get lonely and that in itself may make her stop eating. You can give her plain aspirin in her water to help with pain. Keeping her as quiet as possible is good and it sounds like you're doing well. I hope she fully recovers for you.
