Need help reading a bottle of Ronidazole

Why not give the medication in the water at 1 tsp per gallon for 7 days, as the directions say to give? It is used for several different types of infections, and the links I found prescribe for each one from 5 to 7 days usually. All say to put it in the water.

I'm thinking about it but it's only two hens that have shown signs of flare ups. I'm not sure if others could be carriers as well, but I wanted to give the two a certain dose. I emailed the place I ordered it from, I'll keep this thread updated!

What are you trying to treat?
What's going on with the birds?

It is most likely all of your birds have already been exposed to what ever you are trying to treat these two for.

I'm treating for canker, they most likely have unfortunately. If i were to treat it in the water, how long do i have to wait until i can eat their eggs again? 1-2 weeks?

A couple weeks sounds like a good time to wait.

This is the medication, its 25 grams, and it says 60mg of Ronidazole, does this mean for every gram there's 60mg of medication? How does this work?
The bottle contains 25g of product, each gram of product contains 60 mg of medication.
From the website
Active Ingredients:
60mg/g Ronidazole
I would just give it as the label directs, 1 tsp per gallon of water for 7 days.

I see where the OP was treating for the same thing 2 years ago. Canker is contagious, and the whole flock should be considered as carriers since they are drinking from the same waterers. I would clean and disinfect all waterers and feeders, and you might want to treat your flock with some acidified copper sulfate 1/4 tsp per gallon of water for 3 days a month as a preventative to the other birds not showing any symptoms. Here is where to get it:
