Need help selecting American Game flock

My neighbor is selling off his entire flock of American Game due to declining health. We will basically get first pick.

He has several roosters (all separated with hens) and a large flock of free-range hens. He also has some young hens and some young roosters.

I want to be able to select out 10 hens and one rooster (maybe some young hens too?) in a few days and pay for them, so that he can separate those out so they do not get sold to someone else while we build our coop.

What should I look for in the Rooster? I think most of them are around 1 1/2 - 2 years old.
What should I look for in the hens? I think they are about the same age. The young ones are about 5-6 months.

We want to eat the eggs and breed them as well. We would sell the young roosters or kill them. I would like to be able to sell them, and in this case, is there something I should look for in this flock to make the babies desirable?

I would love to have pictures of what a good bird looks like as well as what a poor bird looks like so I can compare them to these and pick out the best.

(I need as much info as possible, as soon as possible, since he is listing these birds now and I want to pick them over before they are sold. I will be picking them out on Sat.)

I am trying to see more about the breed and it seems like different colors are named after different strains.

I am not sure which strain this is, but I am guessing a cross of a few.

In the pen of young roosters I noticed some with pearl legs and some with yellow legs.

All of the hens are brown. They look like the Silver Duckwing Jungle Fowl, but they have a little more brown on the neck.

Some of the roosters have white, like a Morgan Whitehackle, but most look more like Black Breasted Red Jungle Fowl.

I am not sure if this helps anyone give me advice or not.

I do not have time to buy the book of standards for this breed, but really want to select the best possible birds to allow the best chance to sell the extra cocks we will end up with rather then killing them, since they will not be great meat birds.
