Need help selecting starter flock! New to raising chickens

Definitely more confident about getting the right breed. I've been reading a lot on the ornamental birds and how they get picked on - that's why I thought two funny ones may do the trick. Maybe not. If I do swap out the silkie and polish, what two other birds would be good to include into this mix?

I think your breed selection is good. I like all your choices. I also like a mixed variety of chickens and eggs in the flock, its more fun that way.
I wouldnt necessarily worry about getting pair or groups of the certain breeds. Like someone mentioned they will befriend another chicken in the flock. The only one I would concider gettinga second of is the silkie also mentioned before, because she will sleep on the ground and should have a snuggle buddy especially for winter. I just picked up my first silkies to add to my flock.
