Need help trouble shooting a Nurture Right 360

That's just it, I've done that very thing NUMEROUS times. It just stays at d - 00. I'm wondering if the "-" button is malfunctioning. When I press the menu / ok button it responds.

That's why I tried to reset by unplugging it.

I am so not knowledgeable about this as this is our first time and we are borrowing from a friend who does not have the manual, and we placed the eggs in last night and thought we did everything correct, BUT this morning when I came to check them ours said d-00 also. I held the menu button down till it beeped really loud and then adjusted it to day 20 since that is what we are at now and it stayed. That might help? Note: I also didn't see the red light on that is to the right of the humidity and after I was able to get the days plugged in the turn table red light came on. I am not sure how much the eggs are supposed to turn (are they supposed to be continuous? or every so often?).. As of the last few minutes they have not turned even though the red light is now displayed, but when pushing + - together the table turns manually so I know it works.

I have question, I set up a borrowed Nurture Right 360 and accidentally for the first water fill added regular water not distilled. I plan to use distilled to fill it any time moving forward. Hoping that is ok. Also I had 2 technical questions.... one the humidity is at 63. I can't seem to get it down to 55... any suggestions? I did have the vent completely open to try and release some of the humidity. And 2nd question, the red light to the left of the temperature is flashing. Is it supposed to flash constantly?

UPDATE: In regards to getting the humidity down I needed to add more water. It changed immediately.
