She is either from a buff Orpington or RIR hen (I think the RIR) and a Blue or Black Orpington rooster. It doesn't quiet look like barring to me, and the front end look different than the back half.

Would you say she is just a mess, lol, or does this feather pattern have a name.

Thanks for your input.

looks like lacing on the front and barring on the back....

you could call it "the mullet" as Joe Dirt said business in the front, party in the back.

The thing I am trying to figure out is. How you got blue legs on that bird? Orpingtons have white legs and a Rhode Island Red has yellow . I wouldn't think crossing a Yellow and White legged bird would give you a Blue/Slate legged offspring.
Just for the heck of it. What kind of comb does it have?

Chris

She is verry close to Golden Campine. This make me think she has Dark Brown,Birchen,Patern and may be Columbian genes.I putted Columbiab becouse it makes lacing on birchen birds.May be only one coppy of Columbian so Patern gene shows like barring in back of the bird.

Pattern looks like one of our girls w/green legs, a buff orpington (hen) x americauna (roo). New to this but enjoying the crosses as much as the full breeds and hybrids. She looks very pretty. Do you have many crosses?

The Orpington roosters are Blue and Black, so she probably got the leg color from them. The mother was either a Buff Orpington or RIR

Her comb is a normal single type (sorry, to new to know just how it is to be properly explained, but someone is more than welcomed to educate me,
