"A Guide To Raising Chickens" by Gail Damerow. This book has just been updated so get the revised edition.Just do a search on the title to find who has it.Great book and this updated edition should be even better.Good luck with the chickens.

I just got mine a week or so ago and I agree-it is the best of all the poultry books I have(and I have several).

Mine was given to me by my son as a Christmas gift, as was Storey's Guide to Raising Poultry. Unfortunately I liked Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens was better. I haven't been bitten by the Turkey/gamebird/pidgeon bug yet.
