Need help wiring my light up

So the light I have is only getting to 87 degrees. So I'm going to need to wire one up. I found a ceramic socket in our garage but am really clueless on how to wire it up. Anyone care to inform me on how to wire it up?

Also can I just wire a plug directly into it?

If your needing a brooder lamp I would just buy one. For about $12 TSC has light housing/bulb. Wiring isn't something to mess with if you don't know what your doing. Bad wiring=fire. Not trying to be mean but would hate to hear that something bad happened trying to save a few bucks. Trust me on that one
