Need help with babies!!

Ok.... hi..... go observe her closely.... and see if she keeps pecking at them... if not leave them... if she does take them away... as some chickens don't have enough experience in raising chicks.... one of my broodies ince did that and we took the chicks away and the didn't have anything wrong with them and the pullets became laying hens and roos became dinner... so just see if she is still pecking at them when she sees them as some chickens freak out when they see chicks... and they think it's something unusual and peck it... just do that and keep us posted...

it's just the one she keeps pecking at. she cut it on its head, and I watched her keep doing it, so I took it away. This is why I said that I think she may kill it. The other two are twins out of the same egg on Thursday and they are doing fine. My husband said she pecked at them in the beginning too when they would get away from the nest. I have 2 more cracking eggs right now. I am waiting to see what she does with them. This is her first time hatching eggs... she was never broody until a few weeks ago when she first started laying on the nest. But I do feel like if I put the hurt one back she will kill it, especially because she knows it is hurt!

That's the best option right now..... you have to keep it warm under a heat lamp... and you have twins!!!! Did they hatched out on their own or did you assisted??? That's soo special. ... please post pics of the hurt one the TWINS and the mom and the whole family when they hatch.... search on backyardchickens how to set a brooder up or on google...

I decided to put it back and let nature take its course, but the mom seems to be taking care of it! Plus I just had 2 more hatch, so I figured it would do good with her and all the babies! And YES the twins hatched all by themselves!! I have a hen that is prone to laying double yolks!! I was amazed that I got 2 out of one egg! The don't look identical though lol One is black and one is yellow! I will post pictures once they all hatch! She is still laying on 10 eggs!! I plan on letting my hen raise them!

Soo special they hatched on their own... and actually shocking.... as even with help not all twins make it... yeah please post pics... great that she accepted him... as it's hard work caring for then yourself... and easier and cheaper to let mom raise them... ;)
