Looked up Bumblefoot as I thought it was this, there is no scab or marks on his foot. It is very swollen, not red though. He is limping. I know he needs to be put in the oven, was worried about butchering him now with his foot like this. He is 8 months old. He weighs about 50 pounds do you think his legs are giving out? Should I be worried about eatting if it is a infection in his foot? Do you think we should try to open the foot and check if we can help, or just butcher. If we do butcher should we check foot after and if it is infected not eat him? Hate to waste all this meat. Thanks for your time and help.

Today he is moving around better, is not laying on ground but is still very swollen and at times holding his swollen foot up.

Check and see if he has a piece of string wraped around the leg (it can be hard to see) I have even had it happen with horsehair!

A 50 pound turkey is not all that graceful, he could have just stumble and hurt the foot. If he keeps getting better the all is ok. We just had one of that had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and he's ok now.
