Need Help with Brinsea Spot-Check

I received my Spot Check yesterday and at first it worked great. Now all it shows is the letter "L" (low temp) and the letter "M" in the lower right corner. And now it won't budge from the L even when I have it sticking in my incubator where I know the temp is around 99.5. Has anyone else had this problem and is it defective?

Did you ever find out what was wrong with your Brinsea spot check? I just received mine and it is doing the same thing. Temp in incubator is around 99.7.

I also have a Brinsea Spot Check which worked great for about a week. Then it just started showing the L so I replaced the battery and it did not help. Did you resolve the problems with yours ? I've e-mailed customer service and seem to be getting the run around from them.

I had to send mine back for a replacement.

I just got off the phone with Brinsea and explained the problem I was having. The lady I spoke with said she would send a new one out today. I asked her what I was to do with the old one , and she said " I don't care just keep it". It almost sounds like to me they know they have a bad batch of them or something. Well anyway it made me happy.
