Need help with Duck Coop....

Ducks seem rather intelligent to me. They very quickly figure out what I expect them to do.

Then, they do the opposiite.

Mine also know they are delicious which is why I have not been able to touch mine since they were hatchlings.

Haha! You guys are so funny :D Thank you for all the tips! They are due to hatch 11ish days :P I am so excited! Thanks again!
 
Shade! I am in VA. I have my Quackmire Downs under pine trees. I have never had a regret. My ducks and chickens pant in the heat, but I have never had a complaint about cold.

Agreed!! We built a new coop/pen this Summer and it's under trees... dappled sunlight comes through, plenty of shade to keep our birds nice and cool, especially through the hottest times of the day. Their previous spot had minimal shade, only along the fence line, and I always felt bad about that -- even after I added shade umbrellas, I felt it wasn't enough. They are so much happier now.
