Hey y'all !
We have a broody hen, with no rooster. So we decided to let her hatch some fertilized ages from a friends coop. She gave them to me yesterday. My question is this: The first 2 eggs she said was from 2 days ago & the other are from the night before she met me. So they weren't under a hen for 2 days basically. I immediately put them under out broody hen, but I am worried with them not being warm for those 2 days- will they hatch still?
We have had chickens for 2/12 years but never hatched eggs so I'm new to this.
Time Turner is doing very well with sitting, so that part is going well lol

They'll be fine. I've held eggs for more than 2 weeks while collecting for the incubator and still had good hatch rates. The recommended hold time is a week, after that fertility starts to decline.

Good luck with your first hatch!

Until incubated, they're in a state of suspended animation. The Blastoderm will be viable in the right conditions for up to 2 weeks but the sooner they set the better.
