I noticed one of my hens had stopped laying eggs lately (or so I thought). I attributed it to the hot weather, but this morning I went to the coop and saw her sitting in the back. She kind of moved a little and I heard eggs rolling underneath her. She moved a little and one cracked open. She began eating it so I removed it as best I could. She didn't move off of the other eggs though. Then a few minutes later she got up and went out of the coop to eat. I haven't seen her go back inside for about an hour. Is this normal or has she decided to forget about the eggs since I tampered with the broken one?
Also, what should I do with her if she decides to sit on them? Should I isolate her from the others or just leave her alone. After she hatches them do i just leave them out there with her? This is my first time doing this so I am kinda clueless, lol.
