Okay I feel super stupid but I cannot tell if I have pullets or cockerels.
I ordered a variety of breeds. They are 12 weeks old now. They were supposed to be all pullets but I think I have a couple cockerels in there.
Gonna post pics. Please help me. Some of the other chicks I received (not pictured) are clearly pullets but I have questions about these.
So, the black ones include black copper maran, an astralorp, and an olive egger.
I am pretty sure the maran is a pullet. Not as sure about the Olive egger and the astralorp.
I also have three wyandottes. The other two seem like pullets but I'm not at all sure about this one. Is this one a pullet or a cockerel?
And finally, I already posted about my lavender orp. The consensus seems to be cockerel but here is more recent pic. I'm sure he's a he but I figured I'd throw it in.
Any help with this would be appreciated. I'd like to know as soon as possible if I need to make some... uh... arrangements
Pics are in this order: maran, olive egger, astralorp, wyandotte, astralorp, lavender orp, all together( from left to right: maran, olive egger, wyandotte, astralorp) and then another one of the olive egger.
Thank you!

Agreed! You've got all pullets there except for the lavender Orpington. Congrats, and I hope they lay eggs well for you!

I think the tail length doesn't matter that much, it's whether it's curved or not (sickle feathers) that indicate whether the bird is pullet or cockerel. There are other indications as well, comb and wattles of course, and none of your birds except the lavender have large comb/wattles for their age.

All pullets barring the lavender orpington. You have nice looking birds :thumbsup
Thank you! It's so hard to get good pics of them and we're in Utah so they don't like to venture very far from their covered run but they are all very lovely. Of course, they're also totally spoiled haha.
I didn't really know what to expect ordering from so far away but I'm happy with the quality. We're just in it for the eggs and the backyard company.
