Hi there!

I have seven 6 week old chickens that I am trying to sex but haven't been able to really determine what their genders are. The chickens are barnyard mixes of black sex link (gender is not linked to this generation though), red sex link (gender is not linked to color or pattern), jersey giant, and dad was an australorp. I think I have at least two roosters, I am hoping that is it but I could really use some help! We are allowed to keep hens but cannot keep roosters because of the noise. I am hoping to determine their gender before they start crowing! I tried to get complete pictures of each chicken! Let me know if better pictures would help.

Thank you so much for the help!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the chicken in photo #1 is a cockerel, as well as photo #7. The comb on #5 looks a little suspicious as well. The rest look like pullets. :) You should probably get a second opinion, though.

Thank you very much!! I’m suspicious of #1 and 7 too. Here’s another picture of #5!
