need help with hen !!

I ahve a hen that her whole face is swollen, and pale. On top of that her feet has lost all her scales and are really soft. do you think its from poison? I seen some fleas on her comb I put some oil on them to get rid of them. any ideas?

I've never heard of all those symptoms combined, can't think what it could be......... maybe a pic would help the experts here to identify the problem?

I suspect she has lice.

Do you have any of the following

"Dri-Kill' powder
Petsmart spray for birds
Poultry dusting powder
Sevin and food-grade diatomaceous earth?

and for the feet and legs
Bag balm, baby oil,or mineral oil. Do not slather, keep feathers dry.


Though you may have some secondary symptoms, now, I suggest that the first stage is for you to treat all your birds and clean the coop. Do you have a place to separate this one for initial treatment?

I didnt see any lice on her. Her face is really swollen. and no scales on her legs. I did put her in a hut by herself and shot soem amoxocillen down her so I 'll see if that helps.
