Need Help with how much meds to give chicks with Cocci

I will try to make this story short~ One of my chicks was having blood in the stool. So went on my Yahoo chicken group and the moderator (vet) suggested that after a treatment of powdered milk and medicated feed I treat them with Sulfadimethoxine. My problem is now I have the powder (107 grams/3.77oz) and I don't know how much of it to give to them in their water. Can someone help me out? My brain can't do all the conversions right now.. has too much going on (dad in hospital, needs surgery) so hoping one of you wise chicken masters can help me out. If you can break it down to per gallon that would be swell!!!!
Each packet contains 3.34oz or 94.6grams Sulfadimethoxine
to be given at 0.05% concentration... contents of one packet to 50 gallons water.

I don't think i have enough information to help you with the conversions.

I think we need to know what volume is contained in the packet. Can you measure it in a measuring cup or something?

I looked up a conversion table... and 1 ounce equals 28.35 grams.

I would hate to take it out of the packaging and expose it to the air and deminish it's effectiveness.

The only conversion i can do with the information given is to tell you that you need .0668 ounces per one gallon of water or 1.892 grams per one gallon of water.

The part i don't know is how you're going to measure that without knowing the volume (as opposed to the weight).

Is there a volume amount on the label? liters, quarts, teaspoons, cups?

I did find this link, http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/product/sulfadimethox_albon_.html. It suggests 2 tsp per one gallon. Assuming you have the same product, i would use the 2 tsp per gallon dose.

liquid Sulmet 12.5% is easier to use..instructions are on the label.
can you exchange it?
