So a few days ago, on our out chicken broke her toe nail off ( only the tip) from I believe flying into the fence when one of our kids was trying to catch her šŸ˜ž. Not totally sure but that’s what the kids report. I saw the blood on her toe which is when we noticed the toenail was broken at the tip but still attached at the base. She sat around most of that day but was still eating and drinking so after rinsing it we just let her be.
shesheeted fine yesterday and then today I noticed she’s been standing like a flamingo a lot. I’m a newbie with backyard chickens, but I can’t see anything more that could be wrong. Her injured foot is significantly warmer than her other.
Should I be worried or is there something more I should do? She seems okay otherwise I think.
I added pictures Incase there’s something I’m missing.

It's still hurting her a bit, but as Mom used to say, "It's a long ways from her heart." She'll be fine. Time will heal it.
Thank you- that brings comfort. My grandparents used to have chickens but that was always survival of the fittest, with backyard chickens it’s definitely easier feel like they’re pets 🄰
