Aww that is so sweet that he liked the mirror!! How precious!! Bean is such a cute name, too If we end up getting another one I am hoping it is a chocolate Indian runner. Do you have more pics??

See I like black or white ducks so thats what I was hoping for, particularly as flubber and daisy as both brown! But bean is hard not to love!

Oh my gosh he is the cutest thing I have EVER SEEN!!!! I am definitely getting a runner next time!!!!
I have a question as I am a little bit concerned that Cody sneezes several times in a row for the past few days and I want to make sure he's not sick. There's absolutely no nasal discharge. Is sneezing normal?

I honestly dont know, I would post it in the duck section of the forums and see what people say. Mine dont seem to sneeze, but then to be fair I probably spend an hour and a half with them all day whereas Cody is with you most of the time so I might not see it. I do know ducks are prone to respiratory ailments but I wouldnt know the normal amount of sneezing? Fingers crossed for you,

he is lovely though I do prefer the normal duck shape. The one down side is he runs unbelievable fast and when you are trying to keep him from falling off your shoulder for example that can be a pain!

I think I will contact the vet i take my mice to and ask if the sneezing is normal. I dont know if she sees ducks, but i know she sees exotic birds. He seems fine, he's active and has a big appetite. Also, his speculum is growing

He is gorgeous, but I would post it in the duck forum, there is a lady there larisol? Something like that, who I have seen stay up all night advising others on difficult assisted duck hatches and her duck knowledge is just immense for want of a better word! I always go and lurk if something worrys me about flubber, daisy or bean. Right now im trying not to panic as it has been over 24 hours since ducky has pipped internally and still hasnt externally pipped, but when I get really stressed I will cave and post!

That same exact thing happened with Cody's egg. I ended up poking a tiny whole in the air cell to give him some air. Right after I did that he immediately unzipped and popped out. But I was super nervous about it!

I have done now, I dont think he would have managed as his pip would have been almost the very vrry top of the egg as his beak is pointed so high, just hope he can do the rest!

Meet poppet (brown and yellow) abd jasmine (yellow). Jasmine was the stuck one, she looks like a runner but she was in a call ducks egg so think she may be a cross which may have been why she had her beak too high as runner eggs are longer! But who knows, she was sold as a fresh duck egg for eating! Poppet was in a runner egg and looks pure runner. Hopefully they can keep Bean company when they are bigger. Tried introducing them now and he pinned poppet so I seperated them as he is so much bigger.

How is Codys sneezing?
