Its a long story but our broody chicken hen is mom. It turns out mama duck was squishing her eggs. 1 by one as they were hatching. Soon she had two eggs left. I took them (both externally pipped) and put them under a RSL hen who hasnt hatched chicks yet.

They are lovely! So glad you got to them before mummy duck. Codi is frankly gorgeousbeyond belief.

I think Im keeping all the ducks and hens whoever they may be. I think I have a rooster there, unfortunately my unnamed guy with a funky crest. From the flock he came from the only crests are the polish rooster and spitzhauben hen and I like the unusual appearance of either so little fustrated. Needs a name though!

Still need names for the others, my son wants to call the blonde chick butter but as he will go white when older that seems off so maybe buttercup?

Miracle is so dark I think he must be a barred rock.

My big grey chick is very placid and needs a name, no idea what he will look like.

And then the peaceful duckie needs a name!

Thank you so much!! He is Mr. Personality (or Miss!) Wish you could see him in person! I'm not very good with names. "Serenity" is what I thought of for the peaceful duck, but I don't know. And I don't know if it's a girl or boy... :/
