Need help with Mice~1

Removing the food source will get rid of the mice but that can be difficult when you are feeding animals who do not always eat in a tidy fashion. I have not had horses for years but remember the mice and rats coming to scrounge the bits of grain/mash etc. that my horses dropped on the ground. We always had cats and did not have a rodent problem. No matter how secure your feed it it is hard to control the sloppy eaters. We now have a horse farm next door and my cats love to go over and catch rodents...unfortunately they bring them home for us but at least they are dead

I agree with the suggestion for barn cats. Good luck!

You will need, 1 case of beer, 2 good friends, 3 boxes of .22 caliber rat shot cartridges, 3 .22 caliber rifles, 3 good lights, and 1 first aid kit. Then just sit back drink the beer and have fun!!!

O.K. ill offer a serious solution also. Tractor Supply sells a mouse trap that catches multiple mice with out needing to be reset, I used these in my garage (wasnt storing food properly) with very good success i caught up to 4 mice in one trap in a night took about a week to cure problem. hope this helps

Have you considered Peanut Butter Blasters?

It's basically a mix of peanut butter and plaster of paris. The mice gobble up the mix, thinking it's a treat, and then the Plaster hardens in their guts, killing them. As long as you keep the Blasters away from the chickens(and you can probably do that by building some sort of box with mouse-holes in the sides), it should work wonders.
