Need help with my laying box

I have 2 6 to 8 ft coops one on top of the other and i need to know do i need to make individual boxes for the hens?

Are you saying that you have one chicken coop stacked on top of another? I'm having hard time picturing it. Do you have a photo?

Okay Alex. I'm assuming the photo of the 2 layers is what you want me to see. Are you planning on having the chickens lay their eggs on those shelves? If so, then yes you will need nest boxes. They need something with dividers and a lip in the front so the eggs won't fall out and also so the hens can have privacy while laying.

Okay it does a have a little 2 inch lip it just hard to see in the pic. Another thing do you have any idea how i can build boxes outta that lol?
