need help with my new brooder

ok here is the deal ... the new brooder is in my garage with no heat i can get the temp up to a 95 or more if i need to at night win its cold out. but i work in the day and can not be here to check on the chicks and it gets warmer in day and its heats up in the brooder it gets to hot will a hot water thermostat work if hooked up to some of the lights and kick off win it gets to hot so it wont cook my chicks ..... any one have any ideas on this

I'd take the temp in your garage for a week or so and compare the day and evening temps. If it stays fairly constant, you shouldn't have to worry.
That's what I did.

We have a thermostat which we set. I believe it is something my hubby used with his reptiles.

those are good ideas, and if you are set on keeping them there, see if you have a neighbor or friend that wouldnt mind checking in on them once or twice a day
